INFO/NEWS05.02.08OK in case you haven't guessed, Parcourse is no more. Any hopes of pulling the project back together last year ended when we finally decided to go our own separate musical ways. David is currently working on a solo album that consists mostly of reworked Pete and Parcourse tracks. He's not sure what the plan will be once the record is finished but the record should be available in about a month or so. Andrei has joined the group Dora Flood from San Francisco, catch their next show at the Cafe Du Nord on Thursday, May 29th with The Junior Panthers and The Parties. There will be some contests in the future to auction off the remaining Parcourse merchandise. Thanks to all of our fans for sticking with us. 02.26.07Where have we been you ask? Why no upcoming shows? What's going on?! First let me appologize to all of our fans for not posting for almost four months. We have been on hiatus ever since Matt left the group in November and there have been all sorts of non-Parcourse things to keep us busy. So what news can I give you about Parcourse? There is a major website redesign underway. I'm hoping to have that done my the end of March. We have finally started to shop the last E.P. around to see where that takes us. We didn't make it on to the Noisepop lineup, again, but hopefully the Mission Creek Music Fesival will pan out. There even might be some new recording happening soon, we'll have to see on that last one. Don't lose hope Parcourse will be back soon and you won't be dissapointed. See you. 11.06.06This week is our show at the Rickshaw stop and there are many reasons to come out to this one: First, this is our S.F. CD release party of the new E.P. Names of Battles and we will be giving away a limited number of copies to any show-goers that want them. Second, we are playing with two other really great local Bay Area bands: Dora Flood www.doraflood.com and Parker Street Cinema www.parkerstreetcinema.com. If you haven't seen either of these bands you have been missing out and this is great opportunity to see them both! Last, and this one has a bit of a sad note, after founding the band with us and playing with us for five years, our drummer Matt Ayotte is leaving Parcourse. This will be Matt's last show with us. He is reason enough to come out to the Rickshaw Stop to see us play on Wednesday. Come help us say goodbye. It has been a honor to have had the chance to play with a drummer like Matt, Parcourse will be transformed forever by his departure. Stand by for more info about what's next for Parcourse. 10.23.06Thanks to those of you that came out to the East Bay last Thursday to see us play. We hope you enjoyed the show and your free copy of the E.P. For the rest of you there is still another chance to get a free copy of the E.P. We will be giving away more at our second CD release show in SF at the Rickshaw Stop on Wednesday Nov 8th. See shows for more info. 10.19.06FREE CDs! If coming out to see us play a show with The Donts and As A People isn't incentive enough to get you to leave your houses on a Thursday night then maybe getting a copy of our brand new E.P. Names of Battles for free is. We will have a limited quantity of promo copies of the new disc that we will be giving away to anyone that wants one tonight at The Uptown in Oakland. Hope to see you there. If you want to hear a preview of three of the new songs interspersed with us blabbering on about the band in an interview, check out the Podcast on Insomnia Radio SF. Scott Tinetti did a great job putting it all together, asking some good questions, sitting through our responses, and then editing it into a cohesive show. Thanks Scott. 10.14.06We had our interview with Scott from SF Insomnia Radio last night at Specs in North Beach. It was a blast. Tune in this Wednesday 10/18 to hear our silliness. We also submitted our interview questions to The Deli SF and hopefully those will be out this week as well. The big news is that the new E.P., Names of Battles is finished! and we will be giving away copies at both of the CD release shows at The Uptown and The Rickshaw Stop. The line ups for the E.P. release show are also set. At the Oct 19 Uptown show we will be playing with our friends The Donts and As A People and at the Nov 8th Rickshaw Stop show with will be playing with more friends, Dora Flood and Parker Street Cinema. Both shows are gonna be great. See the shows page for more details. 09.15.06It's kinda strange but we are actually celebrating our 5 year anniversary as a band this month. Who knew. The new E.P. is coming right along and it's down to the wire. So, is it going to be an October or November release? We will just have to wait and see. In the mean time Parcourse has a couple of interviews scheduled one on The Deli SF which looks like it's going to be a nice website focusing on the local SF music scene and the other as a Podcast on SF Insomnia Radio. More info to come. 08.17.06Where did the time go? It's been two months since our last update, but rest assured we have been busy little bees. First, and most importantly, we have our Make Out Room show next Wednesday the 23rd. This will be our last show until the EP is finished, so come out and show your support and pick up the new Parcourse T-Shirt while you are at it. Second, we are knee-deep in the mixing of the new EP and although we can't give you an exact release date yet, we do have two record release shows scheduled. The first one is for our East Bay friends and fans at the Uptown on Thursday, October 19th and the second is for the West Bay kids at the Rickshaw Stop on Wednesday, November 8th. We will post more details as they become available. 06.15.06Wow. I'm sorry for those of you that missed the Studio Z show last night. The line-up was fantastic. Thanks to Scott from SciFlyer for putting the whole thing together and to Excuses for Skipping, Sciflyer, Venus Beltrans, and DJ Emily for all of the great music. If you ever get a chance to see any of these bands, do it. Speaking of which, we will be playing with SciFlyer again at our next show at The Make Out Room, so you'll have a chance to catch a bit of what you might have otherwise missed. 05.20.06The Bottom of the Hill show was great. Thanks to all of you who came out to show your support on a Wednesday night and thanks again to Dave from live2nite.com and Ramona from the Bottom of the Hill for putting that show together. If you missed it come on out to out Studio Z gig on flag day, June 14th, it will be an entirely different scene and we will have and different set for you. 05.10.06Another show has just been added in our Wednesday night series for the Make Out Room on August 23rd, check out the shows page for more details. The recording is nearing completion, we are finishing up the last few overdubs and are about to begin mixing. 04.29.06You did it! The votes are in and tallied and Parcourse has the opening slot at the Bottom of the Hill show on Wednesday, May 17th. We couldn't be more pleased. Thanks to all of you who voted for us in the live2nite "Battle of the Fans" contest. We are looking forward to seeing all of you there and we'll post more details about the show early next week when they are available. 04.21.06We are entered in the most recent live2nite.com "Battle of the Fans" for a chance to play a show at The Bottom of the Hill on Wednesday, May 17th. Enjoy and thank you for voting Parcourse. 03.27.06All sorts of news to report this time. First, the show that we mentioned last time has been confirmed for June 14th at Studio Z in San Francisco. See the live page for all of the details. Second, and even bigger news, the search for our second guitar player has come to a happy ending! So everyone come out to the next gig and give a big Parcourse welcome to Tom. 03.02.06We just found out that we have a show coming up in May. Please check the live page for details as they arise. 02.27.06Well, it's almost March and not much has changed since December. We are trying to finish up the new EP but things have been taking a little longer than anticipated as is usually the case. 12.29.05Happy New Year everyone. May 2006 be healthy and prosperous for all.
